Down on the Farm....

At Thanksgiving the family was all here. Mom, Carrie and I had cooked all day and then we went to see New Moon on Saturday night. We really had fun, probably being out without the kids more than watching the movie. On Sunday Trevor and the boys came down and we had dinner and the kids played all day. Trevor had never drove the tractor before so him and Vernon went out to feed hay. Trevor drove and all was well!

A new PTO....

We started a PTO at our school. In October we had an organizational meeting to get things going. Since we have had 2 movie nights and a teacher's luncheon at Thanksgiving. The luncheon was a big hit! The teachers really enjoyed the time they got to spend relaxing and having homemade soup for lunch. In November we showed the movie UP and the kids really liked it. Last week we watched the Muppets Christmas and Santa came to read to the kids. It was really enjoyable. More to come in January!!!!!

It's Been awhile.....

I haven't been here for awhile to make any posts, but I'm going to update that tonight!

Never take Jackson out for ribs!!!

We all know that Jackson can get dirty with soap and water, right? Ribs......not a good idea! He doesn't hold the ribs with his fingers like civilized people do, he uses the whole hand and palms them. To watch him eat something like that is like watching a bear tear into an animal! To those family members who I'm not afraid to offend you will have to watch the video Vernon took of him as he was eating and goofing off. I wouldn't dare show it to people who are not family!!! Good thing that boy is cute, otherwise I would trade him in!

Gum+Hair+Peanut Butter????

When you think of a kid getting gum in his hair you usually wouldn't think it would be your oldest child, right? NO! This morning Wyatt comes to me and says, "I blew a bubble and it got stuck in my hair." I knew he hadn't blown a bubble and done it because it was a great big blob of gum not thin strands. So I said, "OK Wyatt, what did you really do?" He said he was playing with his gum and accidentally stuck it in his hair. Yep, Stuck it in his hair! Really, how do you do that?! Anyway, he comes in with scissors and says he needs to cut it out. It was right in the front of his hair, so I told him he would look ridiculous with a big chunk of hair cut out. I called Sherry and she said to use peanut butter to break down the gum. So I put a great big blob of PB in his hair. Guess What? It worked! Amazing, and he still has his hair! Peanut Butter 1 and Gum 0!

As you can see, he didn't want me to take a picture of him with PB on his head! Ha ha!!!!

Jackson lost another tooth......

Jackson lost his top front tooth yesterday! He is so adorable without it. It was very loose for several days and he finally lost it at school. I guess it's a trend, he has lost other teeth at school too! Jackson thinks he looks "stupid" as he put it. But we all know otherwise, he is the cutest little guy!

Some more football pictures....

I have always liked football.....Now I LOVE FOOTBALL! I absolutely love watching Wyatt play. I have been so proud of him this season, he has really stuck too it and practiced hard. They had their last practice last night, so the season is winding down. This weekend we play on Saturday, if we win we play on Sunday. And then, you ready? If we win that, we play at the IU Memorial Stadium on Halloween day! I hope we get there, the kids will be so happy! (The parents too!) Since the season is winding down I thought some new pictures would be good to put out for everyone to see the change in my baby! At the beginning of the season he couldn't do a push up, now, it's like he has done them his whole life! He's so Cute!!!!!

Parent Teacher Conference-Jackson

Jackson's conference went very well! He is doing great in school. He actually got to eat lunch in his classroom with his teacher on Thursday this week because of good conduct. It was him and 3 other kids that she invited. She sent him a letter inviting him to have lunch with her. It is pretty cute. He was excited about eating in the classroom. He has all A's and an E (which is Excellent) in spelling. Isn't that funny! Last year they said they were going to possibly have to put him in remedial reading classes. He was just lazy and didn't want to read, now he is really enjoying the reading he has been doing. He is on book #4, at #5 he gets a free pizza for BookIt. Notice in the picture where it says Grading Period 1. It says "Shoes Tied" Apparently that is the teacher's only complaint, his shoes don't stay tied. I told her we would work on that. But come on, really? His shoes don't stay tied? BIG DEAL!!!!

Baby Lilly, growing up......

Sweet little Lilly is getting so big! She has gained about a pound and a half since she moved in. Pork Chop! The kids are finally adjusting to having her in our home. They finally hold her and pet her without freaking out! Wyatt had some friends over last weekend and they kind of drove her crazy by chasing her and wanting to hold her all the time, but I guess at least she is loved! She is still so sweeet, I just love her! I took the bottom picture this afternoon. I was doing laundry and hadn't seen her in awhile. I took the hamper back to the bathroom and there she was, sitting in the window keeping warm! The top picture is a little fuzzy, but I thought it was cute!

Parent Teacher Conference-Wyatt

We had Parent/Teacher Conference this past week. All is great! Wyatt has straigh A's, Woo Hoo, and way to go Wyatt! The student teacher said that at the begining of the year she was so impressed with Wyatt's behavior that she would say to the class, "Why can't you all be good like Wyatt?" He got emberassed and told her to stop saying it because the kids would repeat it, "I know, Why can't we be more like Wyatt!?" Knowing Wyatt outside of school, I say, HUH???? Because we all know he is a good boy, buy a little rotten!

Notice in the picture sentence #8. When I asked Wyatt what he heard, he said, "UH, I forgot to write talking." I laughed and talked to his teacher about it at our meeting and we both laughed until we amost cried! KIDS! You never know what they will say!

What is that Jelly Fish for?????

We were on our way home from one of Jackson's baseball games this fall; I was driving my mom's car and all the sudden." What's that jellyfish for?" We were so confused, me and mom just looked at each other and kept saying, "what jellyfish?" Finally after a few minutes after the initial question I looked down at the speed and there it was.......the jellyfish. Look at the picture and see if you can tell what he was talking about.

Yes, the brights were on! Obviously my children watch way too much Sponge Bob!

Ahhh, Chloe has toe socks!

Vernon HATES toe socks!!! So, of course Nana got Chloe a pair. They are really cute. I took a picture of her feet and sent it to Vernon on his lunch one day......ha ha ha! I don't know what he has against them.....They are sooo cute! Maybe he can't put them on, they are a little difficult to get on those little toes!

Little Baby Lilly.....

We have a new baby in the house! She is the cutest. Her name is Lilly, she is two months old. We have been thinking about getting a kitty and finally went and did it. We got her at PetSmart through Owen County Humane Shelter. She is a sweet baby! She has already had her shots, she has been spayed and she is litter trained! Amazing!!!! She is so playful. She has ran all over the house and played with us and the kids. You know Vernon always says he doesn't like cats or inside animals, but I came home from town a bit ago and he was here in the living room playing with her. The kids were already in bed and there he sat with a mouse on a string, bouncing it in the air while Lilly batted at it and jumped around! Doesn't like cats......humpf!

Baseball Pictures of Jackson

Jackson had a ball game this evening. He did a great job tonight! I love his uniform for this league, it looks like a real baseball uniform! They played the green team and they tied. It was a really good game! Only 3 games left, sad........
Isn't he adorable in his uniform though????

Spaghetti Tacos......

The kids LOVE iCarly. On the show Carly is raised by her older brother Spencer. He is a goofball and the kids laugh at him a lot. The special dinner he always makes is Spaghetti Tacos. Gross isn't it? Anyway, the kids are always saying they wish they could have spaghetti tacos for dinner. So their fun dad went to town today and picked up the stuff to make the famous tacos. The kids really liked them......so did we. It was kind of a shock! I thought it would be really disgusting, but it was really not bad! The kids were messy and they had a good time, that is what mattered! I think daddy had fun too!

Football Game on September 12

Wyatt had 2 football games yesterday! There was 1 at 10:30 against Owen Valley and one at 1:30 against North Central. They lost the first game 0-7, and the second game was a tied game 6-6. They boys all played great. There was a lot of sweat involved and a lot of stink! 42 stinky sweaty little boys, Yuck! Of course they were all very adorable in their awesome new uniforms! I really enjoyed being out on the field with the kids. They were all pretty sweet for the most part, of course you always have those few rowdy kids that you have to be on all the time that are kicking and being mean to the other kids. It's our job as team moms to keep all the kids in line, so that is exciting too. Wyatt got to kick off the ball several times yesterday. He did pretty good, he made really nice kicks. All in all it was a wonderful day at the ball field!
Oh yeah, by the way, Wyatt is number 35. That will make it easier to pick him out in the pictures. :)

Poor Little Jackson....

I have to admit that my camera has been without batteries for awhile now. I plan on stopping at the store tomorrow and getting some though. Point is, I haven't been able to take any pictures of Jackson's baseball games yet. He has 2 this week, Tuesday and Thursday, so there will be many pictures taken I'm sure. I can't wait to get some of him in his baseball uniform, he looks awesome in it! He loves blue, but I think red may be his color. The shirt is gray with red sleeves and writing and it looks really nice on his dark skin! So I wanted some pictures of Jackson to be on here now, so I'm just going to put some of my favorites of him. He so stinkin' cute, I don't know how I'll pick the best ones. Even uncle Trevor the photographer says how photogenic he is, so it must be true, right????????

Girls' Day Out

I had been wanting to take Chloe and have a girl's day out, so we invited Nana down and did just that. The boys were at school and it was just us gals! We had a good time. We went to the mall and had our nails done. Chloe was a little hesitant about it, but by the time Nana and Momma were about done she decided maybe it was okay to get her nails painted too. The girl did a great job on my pedicure and manicure despite the fact that she and her supposed boyfriend that was doing Nana's nails were having a spat of some kind. It was quite entertaining! I took pictures of Chloe getting her nails done with my cell phone because mom was there saying, "You should have brought your camera!!!!" So the pictures may not be great quality, but they are fun. After the nail extravaganza we had lunch and then went to Claire's and got new earrings. The girl at Claire's told me they would be having a sale that weekend so I went back and got 55.00 worth of hair clippies for just over 10.00! Love a bargain!!!

More Football Practice......

Here are some updated football practice pictures. There is a game tomorrow so I hope to get some game pictures in the new uniforms. They are really sharp! Bright red jersey's with black and white lettering with black pants. Love 'em!!! Pictures to come.....

Update on the Boys........

The boys are loving school! They are both doing very well and getting along great with their teachers and classmates. The kids do an aptitude test at the beginning of the year to put them into the right level of math. I just found out this week that both of the boys are in the upper levels for their grades. That was exciting to me to see that they both excel in math! Way to go boys!!! Baseball and football are still going well. Jackson won his first game 15-9 and the second game was a tie game. He is still really enjoying baseball and looking forward to the next season. Wyatt has won his games so far too. This weekend he has 2 games on Saturday, busy day!
Wyatt brought home his order form for a recorder last week. AAAHHHH!!!!!!!! I completely forgot about the dreaded recorder! So I sent his money in for that today so we can get started with the first round of musical instruments, woo hoo!
They are already doing pictures at school, they will be September 25th, so there will be new pictures of the boys to see.

A Little Visitor???

Yesterday I was picking up around the house. In the entry way of the house Vernon's hat and gloves were on the floor. He had been working on the vehicles and dropped them inside. I picked them up and when I did.......a crazy little lizard was under them!!!! Of course I screamed like a little girl! The kids were yelling, "What is it?!?" The little blue tailed lizard ran into our family room as I was trying to catch it in a canning jar. That didn't work! Vernon came home and was laughing at us because we were all running around the house trying to catch this lizard. We ended up catching it in an ice cream bucket and then transferred it to a jar so the kids could look at it. What a crazy evening! I think this makes it real.......we live in the country!!
